Apparently when I was little, he shaved one afternoon for the first time in a while and when he came out of the bathroom, I didn't recognize him. I started wailing and balling and asked my mom who this guy was and where was my dad. So I guess you're not alone. Lately when dad grows a handlebar mustache I just make fun of him. By now he takes it in stride. My dad likes to change his facial hair configurations pretty regularly.
