Castle: Best show on TV

One of the best shows of last season was Castle on ABC in which Nathan Fillion (from Firefly) plays writer Richard Castle. Castle paired up with the NYPD and detective Kate Becket for research on his new series of books, the first of which is Heat Wave.

In addition to the excellent writing and play between Becket and Castle, the drama has the team investigating some pretty unusual cases (such as the suburban housewife found in a tub of motor oil) and is actually a good show. To back up Castle he has his mom and his teen daughter he’s raising on his own. Becket has her own back story with her mother’s murder that it looks like they’ll be working through this season (or seasons).

If you haven’t seen it yet, you definately need to catch Castle: The Complete First Season on DVD and tune in to ABC on mondays after Dancing with the Stars
