BUT: should you be expected to shell out money for private school on top of all the taxes you pay for public ed systems? No. Should your family cut your income in half by one of you staying home to teach the kids? Not in this economy. It seems to me that you're doing what's best for yourself & your family, and it's obvious that you & your wife are going to make sure your girls learn everything you want them to know. I think you know this already, but of course you're not bad parents. It seems to me that you’re doing what’s best for yourself & your family, and it’s obvious that you & your wife are going to make sure your girls learn everything you want them to know. I think you know this already, but of course you’re not bad parents. I can tell from 3000 miles away :)

I have talked with my wife about this type of thing several times. I think that getting them a good foundation is top priority. I think that we will home school our kids though elementary or so. Also getting them involved with other children and activities. I'm also sorry to say, that I went to a private school for a while when I was a kid. They are no different from public schools, other than the fact that they do teach, and expect people to learn. Public schools could learn from that. Also private schools don't take much crap from your kids, they will just kick them out for fear of them hindering the other students. I also believe in teaching someone what is right and wrong.
