Cruise Control?

Some one’s off his rocker and needs to be put away before he does the people around him (namely Katie Holmes) any harm. Well known Scientology FREAK Tom Cruise is the recent target of several videos that have been circulating around the net about his scientology views. From watching the video that Gawker has its not that hard to see why the mainstream has an issue with embracing scientology.

I used to be a Tom Cruise fan (one of my favorite movies of ALL time is Top Gun!) but in light of everything he has done lately I’m pretty sure I don’t want to see another Cruise movie again. The man is crazier than Travolta (who might be a few sandwiches short of a picnic hisself…). Watch the video. Be amazed. Be scared.

Let me know what you think…

Ummm…didn’t you just break one of your “rules” from your 13 things new bloggers should avoid post?
I can like the movies he makes and not like him personally. If you ignore how crazy he may be, can you sit back and enjoy his movies? Sure not all of Tom Cruise’s movies are great, but Last Samurai is excellent and I always watch Days of Thunder when it comes on. And lets not forget Legend or Risky Business.

Eric » So you were paying attention during class then? ;) Personally, his best were Top Gun and Cocktail. The problem I have watching his movies (at least if I have to pay to see them) is that he gets the money which in turn he will use to further scientology…..

I was never a huge fan of his, although I did like Top Gun, but after his rants about Brooke Shields taking medication for depression, I completely lost all respect. It’s one thing to have an opinion or a belief, but to get on national television and bash someone because your “religion” doesn’t believe in something is taking it too far.

Meh…. he’s a fruitloop. I’ve never been a fan of his acting ability but have liked a couple of movies he’s been in.

He is a meglomaniac. It’s like watching a train wreck. I posted about Suri, because I’m less worried about Katie than about her. Imagine her life!

He is intriguing isn’t he? Well, what I saw in those videos was man who really believes in his cause. He’s not the first one and he will not be the last, it’s just that he is a public figure so everything is blown out of proportions. He just says what he has been told, what scientology is to him.

Personally I still like Tom cruise, and I think we could have had some cool talks together (until he kills me with an icepick for not joining scientology). Aaah, Top Gun. I feel the need… The need for speed!

soundtrackgeek » heh, and sometimes the ones you need to be most worried about are the ones who really believe (look at any extreamist). You win first prize for the first top gun quote too!!

I don’t know, I’ve seen the crazy vid’s, and I think that he was abducted by aliens, and they have now infected his brain, that or he ate some bad broccoli or something. LOL I like him, always have, and will. For me, when the celebrity’s are off their rockers, I sleep better at night, knowing they are normal people, and the non celebritys should be seeing this, and not try to live up to someone, but rather be their own person, or perhaps, I’m thinking to far into things.

He is beyond far gone. It’s a pity, I can’t watch him in anything now without thinking about what a psycho he is.

Cruise has been getting more bizarre for some time now. I got the joy of being on the construction crew that built his home in Telluride. We had to drop what we were doing and leave whenever he wanted to see the progress on the house. What a waste of time and manpower, just because he did not want to be seen by us lowly laborers.

Chica » Yea… he’s out there. of course, the more I read about scientology, the more I decide that they’re all out there….

antibarbie » Some of its called for. The mavrick character in top gun, for example, was a little psycho. So was his character in A Few good Men….

BEauty Buzz » Nice. I can see that though, I would think that most celebrities would feel that way, except Cruise was really hiding the secret rocket ship when they had you leave… :)
