Thirteen AWESOME Christmas Gift Ideas
In no particular order…
- c.1970’s Bloomingdale’s Red Long Hair Sheep Fur Coat – This is for the pimp (or fraggle) in your life. What outfit is complete until you add this bundle of red long hair sheep fur?
- volcom clothing – The ultimate outer wear for the snowboarder in your ilife who like likes to shred it up on the slopes or for those of us who want to pretend (it doesn’t snow here…)
- Film is not Dead 2008 Wall Calendar a series of cool photos to help you remember that Film is not dead.
- Tokyo Flash “Twelve 5-9 B Version” Watch #TWELVE-5-9-B Be the coolest spy on your block with this very James Bondish looking watch from Japan. Its so cool you know you want one… (I do if anyone wants to buy it for me…)
- 160gb Black iPod – I know. The touch is sooo much cooler. Yea, it is, but for the same price (if not less) you can get 10 times the storage space than the touch. And besides, retro is cool.
- AeroGarden Herb Kit its an HERB garden yo (not that kind). What gourmet chef would prefer to use dried herbs when you could give them fresh herbs year round??
- Nintendo DS lite – Nintendo has done it right with their consoles lately (the wii rocks) and the DS is perhaps one of the best portable devices around. Even cooler is that they’re marketing them to my parents these days (have you seen the memory builder ads?)
- Cuisinart® Grind ‘N Brew® 12-Cup Automatic Coffeemaker – Coffee Lovers everywhere know that the best cup of coffee comes from FRESH Ground beans (right gruntled?). The 12 cup Grind ‘n brew is the best thing since sliced bread for coffee lovers. Nothings better than waking up to a cup of freshly ground coffee in the morning except waking up to 12.
- A Large handmade gift basket full of coffee (over 4 pounds) biscotti and more. Goes really good with the 12 cup Grind ‘N Brew…
- Dark Chocolate Espresso Beans – Dark Chocolate has been found to help generate gray matter in brains. Espresso beans are really good at getting you going… why not combine the two in to the perfect Stocking Stuffer??
- Lobster Gram – This really only works if you know someone who likes lobster, but Lobster Grams are a good way to send the one you love a nice meal that you two can cook together (be careful if cooking neeked…). I’m also pretty sure that if you type hannity in to the coupon code box you get a discount…
- Red Swingline Stapler – If I need to say more, you need to watch Office Space.
- Visa Gift Cards – yea, they’re a little impersonal and they kind of scream “I DON”T HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT YOU WANT FOR CHRISTMAS”, but sometimes, thats just the gift we need to give. Besides, what do you give your postman?
Happy thanksgiving!!

That coat is so pimptastic! I love it!
Chris’s last blog post..13 Things that I want for Christmas
Number 8, the Grind and Brew, is not that great. First it is a complete mess, and unless you clean it after ever use just gets worse. Second, we have had one for over a year now and the buttons are starting to fail. Not to mention the wife does not even use it as it was intended to be used. I even stopped resetting the clock after power outages because of it. Better off getting an outlet timer and pluging in the old on-off coffee pot into that. Also no way to change the grind size.
Yea, the coat rocks…
IDK, the one we have seems to be pretty good. the power outage thing would occur with anything that has a clock in it. Luckily the power hasn’t gone out lately at home. Even if you had it set on a “timer” plugged in to the wall socket, you’d still have to reset that.
Granted, I’m currently using our supply of ground coffee before I buy some beans from Twitch and Jitter….
The pimped out coat is only awesome if you also have a walking cane, preferably either solid gold or at least with a giant gold emblem on it.
I’ve become a huge fan of Twitch and Jitter’s Panamanian Boquete beans lately. The brew from these is aromatic and full bodied, but doesn’t have as much acid as a dark roast would.
I was talking about the grind and brew coffeemakers with someone I know from high school, and she was saying that she would worry about the grinder waking her husband, because she gets up and about before him, by a couple of hours.
I’m really intrigued by the AeroGarden, though. It would be great in the kitchen, and they had a seed package on the site for a salsa garden. It’z in mah kitchenz, growin’ salsa!
That’s quite a wish list you came up with there.

Happy Thanksgiving? Are we a little behind?
That 160gb iPod makes my 30gb feel inadequate. S’ok! I keep my warranty up-to-date, so I should never be without one!
Jade’s last blog post..no se
Do people really need 160G on their iPod? I feel so pitiful that I only use 7G on my 30G iPod Video.
I really want that AeroGarden thing, but my cats would totally eat all the herbs before I got any kind of real growth to use.
And I’ve given several of those Red Swingline Staplers as gifts but never have gotten one for myself. I can’t justify buying one for me and no one seems to think of getting me one. *sigh*
Happy belated TT.

Thats what I get for Copy and paste….
Hells yea people need 160gb ipods. I’d have the entire Firefly series on there, plus the movie. My music collection is currently around 20gb. Not to mention the other movies and tv shows I’d have on there for when I was bored….
Nice list. But Neeked is actually spelled Nekkid as coined by Lewis Grizzard. Naked is doing something with clothes on, Nekkid is naked and up to something.
Just ribbing.
This list is excellent.
