There has been talk on some of the boards lately about the best ways to promote your blog both on line and off line. Out side of the obvious (making comments on other blogs, posting links on forums and traffic scams like Blogrush) there are some non-obvious ones. If you work for a company that has a business card, look at one of your cards. It has all your contact information on it. Name, Phone, Email and most of the time websites. If you can have one for your job, why not have a business card for your blog?
You can get 100 Free blogger cards from ooprint right now and all you do is pay shipping. Its a really cool deal if you’re looking for a way to promote your blog or other personal site. The templates they have are pretty cool as well and you can decide what information you want on them. It can’t hurt to have another way to promote your blog can it??

I would hardly call Blogrush a traffic scam. I am in their network too, and apart from Stumbleupon, I just found your blog using it.

Ok, but here’s the point. This post has had over 4,000 “syndications” on the blogrush widget. Only 17 people have clicked through to the article though. I’m peddling the blogrush widget. I click on the interesting titles.
Blogrush promised huge increases in traffic… so far it isn’t happening…..

I too have blogrush on my site and and I have not seen any significant increase from it. Truth be told, I get better traffic from the button exchanges at the bottom of my site. Now that is truly sad.
I’m actually seriously considering ordering some with my book review blog’s address on them and leaving them at some cafes and places with public computer access. Might see a boost.
I bet libraries and book stores would be my best bet.
