Flag Flap?

Cheney was busy hunting over the weekend and the Rev. Al sharpton was busy trying to gain more air time and exposure lashing out at the VP for hunting at a “private” club where there may have been a Confederate flag hung on a wall in a garage on the property. If Dick wants to go hunting, thats up to him. I say more power to him if he can find anyone to accompany him after his accident a couple of years ago. If he wants to go some where with a confederate flag hanging in a garage, whatever.

I live in the south and I know that some people believe that the stars and bars represent

lynching, hate and murder to black people

As sharpton would have us believe. I also know that to some, its heritage and it represents their family roots. Again, whatever. I don’t have issue with the flag and I would bet that most of the population of the United States could care less either. What I do take issue with is the fact that the man can’t even go hunting with out someone finding fault with it. Maybe thats why no decent person would ever consider running for office.

I know of a lot of people that have a problem with the Confederate flag. I don’t have a problem with it though. To each their own I think. Who cares if he was hunting in a place that has one hanging up? People place way too much emphasize on the little things. I can’t believe anyone would still go hunting with him! I would have bulletproof headgear made for me if I did! haha Or stay BEHIND him!

    Word.

That is exactly what the confederate flag means to me. I was born in Dallas, TX and I am a proud Texan. To me the Confederate flag is a symbol of a region’s pride and determination to stand up for their ideals and beliefs. They did not want to be told what to do and much like the colonists did they rebelled.

Personally, I think Sharpton and others like him just like to scream “discrimination!” whenever they can and look for it where it does not exist. I really detest people like that because usually they are just as racist, if not more so, than the people they accuse.

And truly, after that hunting fiasco I’m surprised anyone would go hunting with the goof.
