I just read up a bit on Finnix and it seems that this newer version holds a faster boot up time by what was it 8 seconds? That’s impressive!

^ Perhaps in the longrun of things 8 seconds helps a lot, but coming in from a blind perspective that doesn’t sound like such an incredible feat.

The laymen in me however sees “faster downloads” and goes “ooh” and the stats freak in me sees “better stats” and goes “aah” however. ;)

When you have other applications and such that can take up to a minute or more to just get

starting, eight seconds is quite a bit. I remember my husband doing the kernels and such for

FreeBSD and for some of them he would leave them there overnight, wake up and they still

would yet to be done. So, for this, it is pretty good!

Ah, since I really don’t have much (if any) experiance in that aspect, I’ll take your word for it.
