Less than a month to Disney

My father decided to do something fun with the remainder of the estate from my grandfather and we’re all going to Disney World for thanks giving. 5 days in the magic kingdom with the family. Should be a good time. The girls (grace more than emma) will love it. We have a whole series of princess meals lined up and even a trip to the castle beauty parlor for Grace to have a “makeover” in to the princess of her dreams. Its bound to be a fun time for all.

Not to mention that this is my first of what I hope will be many Orlando vacations. My parents have been to disney world before. My wife has been, but Eric, Brian and I have never made it to the Magic Kingdom. I’m looking forward to it (not necessarily to the 5 hour drive). I’ve seen it before on TV and the place looks awesome. The fact that I have a four year old who’s going to go crazy just makes it even better (I’ve found that things like that are better with a little one around). I might even bring you back a Disney snow Globe

You will love it. They kids will like parts of Epcot, too. Are you staying overnight? Round trip, 5 hours each way, and time to explore=not enough hours.

You are going at the perfect time of year. A few tips are 1) get up early and get to the park, which is easy if you are staying one Disney property; 2) everyone automatically goes to the right when they enter either WDW or Epcot. Go to the left and you will have some rides to yourself until you meet the people that turned right.

    Have a great time.

I’m fairly certain it’ll be well worth it, especially for the kids. I never got to go to Disneyland as kid sadly. I would like to go now, but somehow I doubt it will compare to the magical experiance I would have had as a kid.

    Have a good trip!

That is when I went. In the pictures I think I was about two years old. So I don’t remember a thing from it. Of course my mom always goes “You’ve been there before!” Doesn’t count if you don’t remember!! At least this time you’ll remember though even though the little ones won’t so much! ;)

I’m not sure why parents [and adults in general] do that. They know you were an itty bitty thing, and yet they expect you to remember or think that that makes a difference. I got that same comment when I got all excited about flying on an airplane. “You’ve flown before, you were about 1 at the time” Like I can remember?

I wonder though, how does the experiance of going to disney land as a child and seeing it again as an adult compare. Is the magic still there who is it stripped away with age?
