There was a Republican Debate this past weekend (collective gasp - “There was? How come we didn’t know about it?”) which would have been a surprise to anyone watching the GOP field this political season. One of the major problems is that instead of coming out with programs or ideas of their own, they all are (with the exception of maybe Huckabee or Paul) going after Senator Clinton instead.
If the candidates for the GOP nomination would focus on actually running in their own primary instead of running in the democratic primary they might actually get something accomplished. Instead this bicker about who is least like Hillary and who is more conservative than who is getting to be silly and old in a time when we care more about what they are going to do for the country then what they have done to screw things up so far.
I thought Thompson might be good for the race, however, he’s turning out to be a severe disappointment and my money is still on Huckabee. If he can raise a little more awareness and actually let people know he’s in the race, we might (and I do mean might) have a candidate worth nominating. Its a shame newt won’t run.

I try to stay away from political debates for the most part but when it comes to Hilary Clinton I believe her heart is in the right place but she just does not have a leg to stand on. They are right, her ideas are costly. The best thing she has going for her is the public healthcare she wants. Other than that…I wouldn’t vote her.

I hope to see a ticket with Clinton and Obama on it. I do not think the Republicans have a chance. Everytime GWB opens his mouth, he makes people angry. Our economy is a wreck, we have not fufilled our promises to Darfur, Afghanistan or Iraq. I am afraid we will be pulling out of the Middle East like we did in Viet Nam. There is no way to win over there.

I have to agree, they keep focusing on Clinton too much. For those who don’t pay very close attention to politics, all they’re going to see is a female senator making history and those mean republicans picking on her.
If they could just come up with their own platforms and go from there they would see that Clinton would be left eating their dust.
