Phony Soldiers?

There’s a lot of nothing being done this week in Congress and the Senate over Limbaugh’s Phony Soldier comment. Instead of actually buckling down and getting some work done they’ve been busy passing resolutions condemning Rush Limbaugh for his comments which may or may not have been taken out of context (I admit, I did not hear the comments). Instead of working towards fixing the tax code, actual debate on the Iraq war or any of the other issues Congress should tackle, they’re busy smearing Limbaugh. Maybe its no wonder that Congress’ approval rating is an appaling 22% where bush has a 33% approval rating. The constant smear campaign thats been waged by the Dem’s could be a good reason behind it.

Anyway, back to the subject. Ann Coulter has an excellent post at townhall.com regarding the fact that the democrats seem to be one of the last groups that should be harping on how anyone refers to the military. She cites several good examples in the Democratic party when it comes to over exaggerating military service. Either way, I think congress should give up the child like games of name calling and get down to some serious business like getting rid of the income tax.
