One of the hardest things as a High School Junior or Senior is sifting through Colleges trying to find the right fit for you. I applied to 5 different schools, I was accepted by two and wait listed by three (one of them I actually wrote back and told them I would live out of my car and audit the classes anyways…). I ended up going to the two year college of one of the larger universities in the Atlanta area and boy did I have a ton of Student Loans from the process.

One of the first things I did after getting married was student loan consolidation. Taking the multiple payments (I had three I think) and combining them in to one lower payment. It helped a lot! Granted thats when the interest rates on Student Loans was lower but still, consolidating a current student loan can lower your payment, decrease the amount of time you have left to pay and free up some cash for you as well.
