Air Nepal

Imagine, you’ve just boarded a flight to say, Denver (its my favorite destination at the moment) and you hear the captain come on the PA system “Attention ladies and gentlemen, we will be departing after a brief delay. We need to sacrifice a pair of goats in order to get the flangie working on the throttle control.”

Thats pretty much what passengers on Nepal’s National Airline heard this past week. According to the AP:

Officials at Nepal’s state-run airline have sacrificed two goats to appease Akash Bhairab, the Hindu sky god, following technical problems with one of its Boeing 757 aircraft.

I don’t know about you, but if any airline I fly has to sacrifice a goat in order for the plane to work, I’ll make other plans.
