Art Imitating Life?

We take a lot of photos. Amy and I took roughly 290 photos on a five day trip. From our cruise, we have over 600 photos and we take family photos regularly, photos of the girls at random times. We like taking photos. The problem we’ve come up against is that it gets repetitive to have 4×6’s or even 5×5’s strewn about the house in a hodgepodge of frames (we can never seem to find ones we really like). I think I’ve found a solution (well, it will at least change things up a bit!), turn that photo to art!

Paint Your Life will take any photo you upload and have their team of artists (though, it could be a room of monkeys, but the quality seems a lot better than that) paint your image (or chalk, charcoal or any number of other art mediums). You receive updates and photos of the progress along the way. The nice thing is that you don’t pay for it in full until you’re happy with the work, all they ask is for 20% up front (which is unheard of these days!).

If you’re curious to know the quality you can check their site for examples or even read customer responses (all of which are glowing). Its a pretty straight forward process to get started too. Upload your photo, specify the type you want, make your down payment and they get started. Like I said before, you don’t pay the balance until you’re happy with the product.

For once, art is truly imitating life. Isn’t that cool??
