Alzheimer is affecting more and more people as break throughs come along that allow us to live longer and longer. The brain does not seem to be made to work correctly past a certain point. My paternal grandparents both suffered from it before they passed away and its likely that unless a cure (or prevention) for it is found before I’m in my 80’s I’ll suffer from it as well. Thats why I’m pleased to post about the Alzheimer Association’s Memory Walk 2007.
The memory walk is a fundraising event for the Alzheimer Association and for Alzheimer research. Something everyone would be better off with. Whether or not you walk, consider donating to one of the teams or participants that is walking. Consider forming your own walk team (get together with a group of friends or your family or even your coworkers!) or consider joining a team that has alread been formed.
Lets walk to erase Alzheimers and not our memories.
