Catch that? Wii!! I picked up a used (slightly) wii from a friend who originally bought it and then never had a chance to sit down and play with it. In the past, I’ve had an original NES and a playstation (the playstation is still turned on every so often for a game of Super Puzzle Fighter) but I figured I had to have a wii. I mean, who wouldn’t want one with almost realistic Golf and Bowling??
So far, in the week I’ve had it, I’ve managed to get it online and loose to my wife in bowling. My problem is the same I have when I bowl for real, my wrist doesn’t stay straight (I tend to turn my hand to the left a little) so when I release the ball, it curves to the left. This isn’t a problem if you know how to offset it (which I do…) however, its interesting to see how well the wii is able to mimic real life bowling. Granted the ball doesn’t weigh anything on the wii, but still.
One of the features I do like and one that I am going to use, is the ability to download numerous older console (NES, SNES and Sega) games to the wii. I think its cool that my kids could play the original Mario brothers just like I did…. now if only they’ll release scrabble for it….

Thats a cool piece of code. I might have to invest in a bluetooth adapter for the laptop…
